[1] Disc-Diva.com - For all of your disc golf needs!
Do you disc golf? Do you know what disc golf is? Can you throw a Frisbee? Do you like the outdoors? Then this is a sport for you.
Disc golf, in some form, has probably been played informally since the early 1900s, according to Victor Malafronte’s, “The Complete Book of Frisbee.” But modern disc golf started in the late 1960s, when it seems to have been invented in many places and by many people independently. Two of the best-known figures in the sport are George Sappenfield and [2] “Steady Ed” Headrick.
Disc golf (sometimes called Frisbee Golf) is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, “The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.”
Kathy Hardyman, also known as Disc-Diva, has basically made a lifestyle out of the sport once to be considered the hippy fad. Since she started casually playing in the late 90’s to her first tournament in 2001, she has dedicated a large portion of her life to disc golf. Not only is she a great disc golfer, but she is also a Mother of 1 and Grand-Mother of 4.
Championships:
1 Women’s Novice Championship
6 Advanced Women’s Championships
1 Advanced Master’s Championship
13 Women’s Open Championships
2 Master’s Championships
3 Grandmaster’s Championships
What is the ultimate goal for Kathy? To teach each and every child out there to go out and have fun and play some disc golf. She enjoys teaching boys and girls the sport she so much adores. She also has hopes of turning disc golf into an International sport with the possibility of the Olympics. Maybe even have some highlights on SportsCenter. Is it possible? If synchronized swimming is an Olympic sport, why not disc golf?!?
I can honestly say, I am proud of my parent’s for their disc golf life. If only more people got out of the house and enjoyed life as much, maybe we could all be a happier world.

I LOVE frisbee golf, we used to go play it all the time when I lived in Mesa. Are there actually frisbee golf courses here? I haven’t seen any. I’m not that great at it but boy it’s fun.

There are courses all over the place actually. Dics-Diva is actually my Mom by the way.
The kids love playing it so maybe we should get them all together and go play.
