Don Imus - Old School Bigot

I want to start by saying, I do not back Don Imus in any way. He is a complete
moron with an “all white” mind.

Before we begin, let’s have a look at some of
his colorful comments.

“My goal is to goad people into saying something that ruins their life.”
“You can’t get much more liberal than John Kerry is. I mean, he’s my candidate,
but, I mean, come on.”
“When I turned to the president and said, `Remember the Astroturf in the back
of the pickup?’ he had the option of laughing or not laughing. He chose not to
laugh and glared at me. He glared at me. Now, the speech is about 25 minutes,
that’s the bottom of Page 2, I know that I’ve got 23 minutes to go. . . . I thought,
`OK, fat boy, you wanna play hardball? Fine. Here we go, fasten your seat belt.”
“Let me tell you, I’ll bet you I’ve slept in a house with more black children
who were not related to me than you have.”

And then yesterday he was back on air talking about Adam “Pacman” Jones and
he came pretty close to making another slip of the ol’ bigot tongue.
During a conversation about Jones’ run-ins with the law, Imus asked, “What
color is he?” Sports announcer Warner Wolf said Jones — formerly known
as Pacman — is “African-American.” Imus responded: “There you
go. Now we know.”

To tell you the truth, this guy actually makes me laugh and feel better about
the things I say. What is funny is he has people there to help him say the
correct things and he also has a 5 second delay buzzer to bleep something out.
If I had a 5 second delay buzzer to help me watch my mouth, I would not be
in as much trouble as I am everyday.

Okay, so when I read “nappy-headed hos” I still get a laugh out of it but
in the same sense the way he used it and said it, wrong. Just wrong. To call
a group of black females, “nappy-headed hos”, is crossing the line. Now if
you were to hear me call my buddies Ian, Travis and Chris a bunch of “nappy-headed
hos”, that is okay and funny. i mean two of the three are either bald and shiney
or very trimmed back hedges on a cull-de-sac. The other, well he is just a
ho in general, but he is a proud ho.

What I am trying to say is this. I disagree with what he has said and he should
learn to “think” before talking. He is a racist and just about everyone knows
this except his boss. This is the best part of the latest story; He called
the flurry of criticism surrounding the comments “ridiculous” and
said that his program’s cast is now more diverse than ever — and includes
a black producer and two black co-hosts, a man and a woman.

Just because you have the radio station you work for hire a few diverse folks
does not make you “diverse”. Why don’t you get a few black friends, not to
include Al Sharpton, and actually learn that they are actual human beings like
the rest
of us. I cannot say they are like you because they are not. This guy was a
prominent backer for John Kerry and still made fun of him in the background.

story of him criticizing Pacman Jones, well, Pacman Jones is a moron. He had
a great life ahead of himself and he cashed it in for a few nights at a strip
club and some drinks and then blamed it on the friends he hung out with and
what
they did. Pacman Jones, you will be next on this list.

People, learn to enjoy yourselves and everyone around you. Have fun, enjoy
life and be yourself.
