Myke Reinhold for President

You all thought I was kidding about taking over this country with this website, well guess what folks. It is happeneing!

I can tell you this everyone, I will be a better President than the last few Presidents. Of course, how hard could that actually be?!? I look forward to the first LAN party and the first poker party at the White House. See you all int eh winner’s circle.

Data storage growth versus retention regulations

In today’s IT world, we have an ever growing trend. Data growth. With the
need to store more and more electronically, companies are running out of room.
In the oil and gas industry we have a huge need for storage space with documents,
maps, charts, readings and so on. So what is a company to do? Do we keep throwing
storage space at it or do we draw the line and create a solid retention policy?
Well, the answer is both actually. With the average cost of SAN storage at
$7000 per TB we can financially let some data keep growing. With a
retention policy, it will need to be razor sharp so it has the ability to cut
through all retention regulations.

At our company we had a 250% increase in storage requirements from December
2006 to December 2007. With this growth, we added iSCSI SAN storage that was
going to handle growth and be run on an existing GB network. We chose LeftHand Networks
because of their ability to expand with ease and the management
interface was very straight forward. On top of the abilities of the solution
their support was top notch and very hands on. With the growth of storage came the second
step, backing up this data. We needed a solution that would allow us to store
data locally on disk and off-site on tape. We also needed a solution that would
keep us in line with any and all retention regulations. The solution we chose
is a combination of Exagrid and CommVault.
The choice of Exagrid and CommVault was inline with our LeftHand
Networks
decision. We chose them for their ability
to expand with ease, management interface was straight forward and their support
was first class. We now have a solution that allows our users to store data
as needed for all projects and the IT department can
back up the data using disk-to-disk-to-tape. this now gives us the ability
to restore data for end users straight from disk and any litigation requirements
we run into we have data off-site on tape using the GFS strategy

So with all of this in place, now comes the hardest job of the whole project,
the retention of the data. We have data that is duplicated up to 25 times between
local user hard drives, servers and user home drives. So how do you get rid
of the duplicated data and find the best possible copy? We have decided to
assign groups to each area of data and they are now in charge of consolidating
data and getting it in line with our retention policy. We have also put in
place a data retention policy that our legal department has and all employees
are aware of. The one place that users like to store data at is in their email.
this is a huge area of concern so we have placed a data retention policy on
our Exchange servers as well. Any email that hits the 61 day mark is automatically
deleted. this allows our lawyers and IT department to let anyone know that
asks, we do not keep email older than 60 days.

Okay, so now we have our hardware solution and our company policy in place.
Now we must enforce it and move forward. Data storage is a growing need for
every company but it can and will be taken care of. You will always have a
need to expand storage but you can slow it down with the proper policies.

Bottom line - It does not make financial or legal sense to store information
indefinitely. Disposition is key to managing growing volumes of unstructured
and semi structured data, and the technologies required for a proper disposition
system underpin an efficient information management ecosystem. A solid disposition
policy can reduce the cost of legal discovery.

Off the record - If you and your company are going to say that you have a
retention and disposition policy, you better have it in writing. Along with
having these policies in writing you should have records and documentation
that demonstrates how the policy is implemented.

Don Imus - Old School Bigot

I want to start by saying, I do not back Don Imus in any way. He is a complete
moron with an “all white” mind.

Before we begin, let’s have a look at some of
his colorful comments.

“My goal is to goad people into saying something that ruins their life.”
“You can’t get much more liberal than John Kerry is. I mean, he’s my candidate,
but, I mean, come on.”
“When I turned to the president and said, `Remember the Astroturf in the back
of the pickup?’ he had the option of laughing or not laughing. He chose not to
laugh and glared at me. He glared at me. Now, the speech is about 25 minutes,
that’s the bottom of Page 2, I know that I’ve got 23 minutes to go. . . . I thought,
`OK, fat boy, you wanna play hardball? Fine. Here we go, fasten your seat belt.”
“Let me tell you, I’ll bet you I’ve slept in a house with more black children
who were not related to me than you have.”
The one that got him fired…”nappy-headed hos” :-)

And then yesterday he was back on air talking about Adam “Pacman” Jones and
he came pretty close to making another slip of the ol’ bigot tongue.
During a conversation about Jones’ run-ins with the law, Imus asked, “What
color is he?” Sports announcer Warner Wolf said Jones — formerly known
as Pacman — is “African-American.” Imus responded: “There you
go. Now we know.”

To tell you the truth, this guy actually makes me laugh and feel better about
the things I say. What is funny is he has people there to help him say the
correct things and he also has a 5 second delay buzzer to bleep something out.
If I had a 5 second delay buzzer to help me watch my mouth, I would not be
in as much trouble as I am everyday. :-)

Okay, so when I read “nappy-headed hos” I still get a laugh out of it but
in the same sense the way he used it and said it, wrong. Just wrong. To call
a group of black females, “nappy-headed hos”, is crossing the line. Now if
you were to hear me call my buddies Ian, Travis and Chris a bunch of “nappy-headed
hos”, that is okay and funny. i mean two of the three are either bald and shiney
or very trimmed back hedges on a cull-de-sac. The other, well he is just a
ho in general, but he is a proud ho.

What I am trying to say is this. I disagree with what he has said and he should
learn to “think” before talking. He is a racist and just about everyone knows
this except his boss. This is the best part of the latest story; He called
the flurry of criticism surrounding the comments “ridiculous” and
said that his program’s cast is now more diverse than ever — and includes
a black producer and two black co-hosts, a man and a woman.

Just because you have the radio station you work for hire a few diverse folks
does not make you “diverse”. Why don’t you get a few black friends, not to
include Al Sharpton, and actually learn that they are actual human beings like
the rest
of us. I cannot say they are like you because they are not. This guy was a
prominent backer for John Kerry and still made fun of him in the background.
the latest
story of him criticizing Pacman Jones, well, Pacman Jones is a moron. He had
a great life ahead of himself and he cashed it in for a few nights at a strip
club and some drinks and then blamed it on the friends he hung out with and
what
they did. Pacman Jones, you will be next on this list.

People, learn to enjoy yourselves and everyone around you. Have fun, enjoy
life and be yourself.

Exagrid and CommVault - Update

Well we have been rocking and rolling with this backup solution for a few weks now and it has totally changed how we backup data. the data deduplication that the Exagrid hardware/software does has been amazing.

Check out these stats:

All Data
Deduplication Ration - 3.78:1
Total backup data - 12,441.08GB
Space consumed - 3,292.32GB

Misc Data
Deduplication Ration - 5.81:1
Total backup data - 4,413.62GB
Space consumed - 760.00GB

NAS Data
Deduplication Ration - 3.17:1
Total backup data - 8,027.46GB
Space consumed - 2,532.32GB

Our amount of tapes has dropped by 65% and our backup times are cut down by almost 75%. So now we are saving on backup times, amount of tapes being used and stored off-site and we will have about 12 weeks of backups on-site on hard drive. That means we can do restores from hard drive and in a worst case scenario we can request a tape from 13+ weeks ago.

Next step is to launch this as our remaining sites. :-)

Global Warming - Fact or another Bigfoot story

So according to Al “I need some more McD’s” Gore we are all up the creek and
we better hope we have a paddle. He has said that with scientific proof, Global
Warming
is
real and we are all doomed. Really? Really?!? According to his most incredible
and Oscar winning movie, Global Warming can and will strike at any
time. According to Mr. Wizard himself, all of the ice will melt causing all
water levels to rise and flood everyone and everything. Thank god I took those
swim classes back in Minnesota when I was a kid.

Does he not understand that the world was once covered in ICE! When you lost
your bid to become the first “Environmental” President, we all thought and
hoped that the whole Global Warming hype would die with you. But instead you
devoured
millions of dollars of McD’s food and are still promoting your un-proven facts.
I will give you eight reasons why this political scam should be shut down.

1. Most scientists do not believe human activities threaten to disrupt the
Earth’s climate. More than 17,000 scientists have signed a petition circulated
by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine saying, in part, “there
is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide,
methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future,
cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of
the Earth’s climate.” (Go to www.oism.org for the complete petition
and names of signers.) Surveys of climatologists show similar skepticism.

2. Our most reliable sources of temperature data show no global warming trend.
Satellite readings of temperatures in the lower troposphere (an area scientists
predict would immediately reflect any global warming) show no warming since
readings began 23 years ago. These readings are accurate to within 0.01ºC,
and are consistent with data from weather balloons. Only land-based temperature
stations show a warming trend, and these stations do not cover the entire globe,
are often contaminated by heat generated by nearby urban development, and are
subject to human error.

3. Global climate computer models are too crude to predict future climate
changes. All predictions of global warming are based on computer models, not
historical data. In order to get their models to produce predictions that are
close to their designers’ expectations, modelers resort to “flux
adjustments” that can be 25 times larger than the effect of doubling
carbon dioxide concentrations, the supposed trigger for global warming. Richard
A. Kerr, a writer for Science, says “climate modelers have been ‘cheating’ for
so long it’s almost become respectable.”

4. The IPCC did not prove that human activities are causing global warming.
Alarmists frequently quote the executive summaries of reports from the Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a United Nations organization, to support their
predictions. But here is what the IPCC’s latest report, Climate Change
2001, actually says about predicting the future climate: “The Earth’s
atmosphere-ocean dynamics is chaotic: its evolution is sensitive to small perturbations
in initial conditions. This sensitivity limits our ability to predict the detailed
evolution of weather; inevitable errors and uncertainties in the starting conditions
of a weather forecast amplify through the forecast. As well as uncertainty
in initial conditions, such predictions are also degraded by errors and uncertainties
in our ability to represent accurately the significant climate processes.”

5. A modest amount of global warming, should it occur, would be beneficial

to the natural world and to human civilization. Temperatures during the Medieval
Warm Period (roughly 800 to 1200 AD), which allowed the Vikings to settle presently
inhospitable Greenland, were higher than even the worst-case scenario reported
by the IPCC. The period from about 5000-3000 BC, known as the “climatic
optimum,” was even warmer and marked “a time when mankind began
to build its first civilizations,” observe James Plummer and Frances
B. Smith in a study for Consumer Alert. “There is good reason to believe
that a warmer climate would have a similar effect on the health and welfare
of our own far more advanced and adaptable civilization today.”

6. Efforts to quickly reduce human greenhouse gas emissions would be costly
and would not stop Earth’s climate from changing. Reducing U.S. carbon
dioxide emissions to 7 percent below 1990’s levels by the year 2012–the
target set by the Kyoto Protocol–would require higher energy taxes and regulations
causing the nation to lose 2.4 million jobs and $300 billion in annual economic
output. Average household income nationwide would fall by $2,700, and state
tax revenues would decline by $93.1 billion due to less taxable earned income
and sales, and lower property values. Full implementation of the Kyoto Protocol
by all participating nations would reduce global temperature in the year 2100
by a mere 0.14 degrees Celsius.

7. Efforts by state governments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are even
more expensive and threaten to bust state budgets. After raising their spending
with reckless abandon during the 1990s, states now face a cumulative projected
deficit of more than $90 billion. Incredibly, most states nevertheless persist
in backing unnecessary and expensive greenhouse gas reduction programs. New
Jersey, for example, collects $358 million a year in utility taxes to fund
greenhouse gas reduction programs. Such programs will have no impact on global
greenhouse gas emissions. All they do is destroy jobs and waste money.

8. The best strategy to pursue is “no regrets.” The alternative
to demands for immediate action to “stop global warming” is not
to do nothing. The best strategy is to invest in atmospheric research now and
in reducing emissions sometime in the future if the science becomes more compelling.
In the meantime, investments should be made to reduce emissions only when such
investments make economic sense in their own right.

This strategy is called “no regrets,” and it is roughly what the
Bush administration has been doing. The U.S. spends more on global warming
research each year than the entire rest of the world combined, and American
businesses are leading the way in demonstrating new technologies for reducing
and sequestering greenhouse gas emissions.

The only reason I see that this scam was created was to allow the Environmental
groups to raise billions of dollars, which they have. cause a global scare
that is not backed by any actual facts. Why is it that when a debate is started
about this, these groups can never actually provide proof or factual data?

It is time for us to step up and stop the hype and crush this scam.

I would like to say thanks to the following story for getting me started.
it is very funny and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Florida
Under Water
But be careful, Al Gore may use it in his next speech. “Ladies
and gentlemen,
Florida is under water due to Global Warming.” We need to stop
spending money on
Global Warming research and put it towards real issues like
Health Care and my next salary increase. :-)

Top Ten - Failed Technologies I wish I still had

Some times, great ideas and great technology just fades away and we never get to use it again…even if it was a great product.

Here is the list of the top ten technologies that never survived.

10 - Knobs
Cool little heat touch buttons are cool but what happened to the good old knob we could adjust?

9 - Keyboards with real switches
Do you really need an explanation?

8 - RAMBUS
This was a great product but was knocked out by the royalties and the fact that it was way too damn expensive. Did you know it was actually faster than DDR?

7 - Minidisc
We had the ability to write and rewrite on these little suckers back in 1992, what happened?!?

6 - DVD Audio
Great idea, great sound but not enough backing to make it last.

5 - CRT Monitors
You can go to every single resolution and they looked great. Heavy as hell but still did a great job.

4 - Tube Amps
It kept me warm in my first apartment and they worked incredible. Sure today’s digital amps are good and cool but nothing beat out that beautiful glow of a tube amp.

3 - The Amiga
I dare you to to argue this one!

2 - Apple Newton
Hey Jobs, the iPhone would have been here sooner if it was not for you scraping this product. Dumb ass.

1 - HD DVD
The only reason this failed was due to Sony paying the movie industry with large truck loads of cash. Damn you Blu-Ray!

Top Ten - Most Over-hyped Items in the Tech World

Have you ever been so drawn into something due to the hype that surrounds it? Like Star Wars Episode 1. With the help of the Internet, things and people can become very over-hyped and then become such a let down.

Here is my list of the top ten things that I felt were over-hyped recently.

10 - Multiple GPU Video cards
Not much to say here, just not as cool as one thought originally.

9 - Nintendo Wii
Now hear me out. This is a cool product and very fun to play, but where is my game list I was promised. Maybe over time the list of games will grow and maybe Nintendo will actually make enough for everyone to actual purchase.

8 - MySpace.com
All you ever seem to hear about anymore is how cool it is to have a MySpace.com page. To me, it is basically a way for people to do another form of on-line dating with actually saying it is on-line dating.

7 - 64-Bit Computing
With PC’s being able to handle more than 4GB of memory and the cost of setting up hardware for 64-Bit computing, where have all the apps gone that were supposed to come out? I mean the only logical place for 64-Bit anymore is in the server world.

6 - Battlestar Galactica
The once famous and awesome Science Fiction idea has turned into a futuristic version of Melrose Place or 90210. Sorry Travis and Ian.

5 - Downloading movies from the internet
Okay, this was very cool when I first tried it out back in 1999 and 2000. But today it is so easy and places like Netflix.com deliver right to my door.

4 - Facebook.com
This is a very distracting and fun place, but state of the art or revolutionary…Not.

3 - HD
Everyone everywhere is talking about HD this and HD that. By the time this becomes mainstream, there will be a new way to go. Let’s face it, some folks are still watching plain old analog TV.

2 - ASUS EEE PC
Experience easy, excellent and exciting computing with the New EeePC. Did you know there was an entire line of these PC’s? Things that make you go hmmm.

1 - The iPhone
Has anything in recent years received more hype and hoopla? I mean we were given a complete over dose of this crap. Yes it is a cool phone, but it has NO 3G support.
* Funny fact about the iPhone. According to AT&T, there is about half the number of subscribers as there have been sales of the phone. Damn hackers of the world. :-)

Creationism versus Evolution

In the classroom where our children are today, do we really want them to learn about God versus monkeys? Are the teachers today so much more educated than before that they can teach this with 100% proof? Do you believe in creationism? Do you believe we evolved from monkey’s?

I can already feel the burning begin on this one. Those that know me, well, they know where this one is going. Those that are just beginning to know me, well, it is about to get ugly in here.

This topic is generated from the story on CNN.com about an Ohio Science teacher that burned a cross into his student’s arm to make a point.
Teacher accused of burning cross on student’s arm

Some side notes from this story, he was not arrested, the school board has voted to begin the process to fire him and he was reprimanded numerous times for having a bible in his desk at school.

(Deep breath…exhale)

First of all, the school is not the place for any teacher to preach. You want to preach, then become a damn priest! You can keep the bible in your desk, that is your right in my eyes. But the second you pull it out and start preaching, you are no longer teaching children. You are trying to push your religious beliefs onto our children.

Second, the school board sucks. If you actually had to hold a vote to figure out that you needed to fire him, you are just as dumb as he is. I understand that maybe you have rules and policies in place to protect teachers from being out right fired, but this is crazy. If my step-father (in my eyes, he is my father as he raised me all my life. and for this story, he is my second step-father) ever did something of this nature, I would expect him to step up and walk away and know he did wrong. Because that is what he taught me. When you do wrong then admit your fault and take the punishment.

Third, you are lucky this is not my child you branded with a cross. If it was, there would have been an old school lynch mob on your ass that night and I would make sure to publish every thing straight to youtube.com. I would make sure every teacher in the country would know, you better not mess with our children. If this was the child of one of my co-workers, associates, friends or family member, I would still hunt your ass down and brand you my own way. As parents, it is our job to teach our children that there is religion and they have a choice to believe it or not to believe it.

I cannot even begin to explain how upset I was when I read this story. There is no comment about being arrested and charged with assault/battery. This is clearly an attack on a child as it left a DAMN mark on this child. Where in the hell are the cops in this whole mess???

I will end this with my personal feeling about all of it. I am not religious in any way. I do not go to church or pray or ask for forgiveness. I have done so many wrong and bad things in my life that whoever is actually watching over us gave up on me a long time ago. I will personally be driving the short bus full of helmet people straight to hell. There will be no windows on this bus and no door. I know what I have done and what I deserve in return.

I feel that there is a holy spirit out there. But I do not look to him/her. Those that believe in god are not dumb. They actually see something and they believe in it and that is great. Those that believe in hell (me), that is great as well. It gives you something to work towards to not end up there. God is like Santa Claus. If you truly believe in him/her, then they are real and will have an impact on your life. I do not believe in gods, goddesses or ala donkey humpers because if they truly were there watching and making things happen, then why is the world so fucked up now.

There are wars, violence, murder, rape, child abuse and so on. If they existed, then why are they not putting a stop to this crap. I was abused both physically and mentally growing up by my sperm donor father and first step-father. Why did that happen if there is a god? Why was I subjected to so much alcohol and drug abuse growing up? Can you really explain this to me?

I was told by a guidance counselor in high school that with as much abuse that was given to me, how much alcohol and drug use was done in front of me that I would end up being a no good alcoholic, drug user and wife/child abuser. Guess what bitch, I have never done a drug in my life and I am not an alcoholic. Oh yeah, my children have never been beat and I have never lifted a finger to any woman in my life. I am guessing that your little counselor handbook failed you.

I teach my children what is right and wrong. I teach then responsibility with chores. I spoil my children as often as possible. My children are always first before me. I treat my wife as if she was my goddess. I love them all everyday no matter what. I teach them that religion is out there and they have a choice. I will not push it and neither will my wife. They can learn it on there own.

Schools cannot do the "Pledge of allegiance", but we can have a teacher preach about creationism and evolution and which one is right and which one is wrong.

That in my eyes, is wrong.

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation, under God indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.”

Heavyweight Champion Hard drive

The new "Heavyweight Hard drive Champion of the World" is, Western Digital’s Velociraptor 300GB 10K drive. This is a much needed drive since the 150GB Raptor X. Every drive manufacturer out there started to go after the Raptor X but WD never really responded. Well I can speak from first hand knowledge, this drive is awesome and fast.

Before I tested this drive the, fastest drive I had tested was Samsung’s HD103UJ 1TB drive. I understand that these two drives cannot be compared side by side or spec by spec but the only test we ran was speed. The WD drive is only 300GB, but it is selling for about $299 which is the same price as the 150GB Raptor.

So the drive is fast but one other very cool feature is the size of the drive, 2.5". Plus we cannot complain about the price either. The drive is currently selling for $299.99 over at Newegg.com.

Single Drive Test Results

HDTach Burst (MB/s) - 255.1
HDTach Random Access (ms) - 7.1
HDTach Average Read (MB/s) - 104.6
HDTach Average Write (MB/s) - 96.7

HDTach Random Access (ms) - 7.2
HDTach Average Read (MB/s) - 100.8

PCMark05 Overall - 8471

The one thing that folks need to understand is that this drive is not built to placed in a laptop. This is a desktop or server drive only. The power requirements would trash a laptop.

Of course if you are looking for storage and not speed, then the Samsung is still the top dog.

Hello, my name is “In God We Trust”

Seriously, a bus driver in the Chicago suburb Zion has legally changed his name to In God (first) We Trust (last).  I saw this story and it made me think, what other crazy names are out there and what would you call yourself if you could/would change your name?

http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/2008-06-14-name-change_N.htm?loc=interstitialskip

I started to research and found that there is some crazy folks, or they have a really weird look on reality.  I mean have you ever thought about what will happen to this child you named?  I mean making a unique name is one thing but the child will more than likely be teased or picked on for quite some time.  Yes, my name is spelled a bit different but it is not a cause for being teased while growing up, well except for that day I went to school naked…oh yeah, that was just a dream.

Here are some responses to the naming of children I have found on the Internet…I warn you, some folks are a little out there.

My 3 year old’s name is Charles d’Artagnan. (after the musketeer). The odd thing is that d’Artagnan (the real one)’s real name was Charles, and we did not know that when we named him, it just turned out that way. We call him d’Artagnan, too. I think this is a fun name.
Yeah. His real name. I’d love to hear the 3-year-old pronounce it, too.

I like Brendan. and for a girl - Egwene.
Called Egg-ween or “Ewwie” for the rest of her life.

Brooklyn Makenzie or Alexia for a girl and Hunter Gage, Justus Brice, or Darian for a boy and… The name Jaden for a girl or boy
Child grows up to become character in Danielle Steele novel.
I’m having a girl…
For the first name I like Mercedes, Michaela, Marissa, Madison, and Makenzie For a middle name I like Alezae’(Alize) like the liquor.
Nothing like being named after a cheap mass market spritzer to define your personality.
We aren’t having kids for another year or two, but we likeKellyna Nychole, Taryn Mykah and Mykenzie Kathryn for girls.
This woman was indicted under the Flagrant Over-Use of the Letters K and Y Act of 1983.

I’ve suggested to my sister that she name her little girl to be - Manchester. She’s not sure about it but she’s considering. What do you think?Clever. Like being named Pittsburg or Schenectady. Kid’ll grow up to be beaten to death by Liverpool fans.
I once met a lady named Rodana. I think she runs a successful internet business.
In her spare time she destroys Tokyo.

brayden,makynzi,or karsyn
tyler, preston,or mason
Makynzi: Name or vanity license plate? Type of blade or rogue Japanese crime outifit?
I like the name Aynslie for a girl and Beckley for a boy.
Weren’t they the leaders of the snooty frat in Animal House?

I like the name Tegwin for my third child. My two children have uncommon names that are easy to pronounce and spell. I am compelled to use something original…ideas???
Yes. Jump off a bridge. Your kid sounds like an elfin creature in a Tolkein book.
This is for my niece, Dawn. She is expecting a baby girl in September. I suggested that they name her Dusk. What does everyone think?
I think her grand-daughter Nighttime would not approve. Or her grand-neices Afterhours and Graveyardshift.

So far we have come up with;
Boys;Finn, Drake, Regan, Hazen, Tannith
Girls; Mehina, Miette, Acenzion, Reina, Sarika, Taise.
Ooh! Anagrams! I want my family tree to look like a Jumble game from the back of the Sunday Sports section. Extr;a credit for u’se of sem’colons. Wait a minute….Semicolynn!
Does anyone have any suggestions? We are all up for exotic names. We especially like Japanese names but have yet to find any that strike us.
T
here’s always Rodana.

I was thinking of naming my son Toolio. Does anyone know the origin on that one?
—[Jane] DeSac
Toolio DeSac. Boy, can’t think of any way that kid’ll get picked on. That’s one taunt-proof name there!
Beaufort Michael.
It’s French for “handsome and strong.”
Especially works if he’s an after-dinner port. I’m naming my kid Voiturenez. It ’s French for “Automobile nose.”

I’m thinking about naming my baby “Zannia Amari Smith“, but whenever I tell people other than my family they just look at me and say “thats different”.
I guess people are put off by weird names like Smith.
Andreana Calida [last name]
Damita Nicole [last name]
Adoncia Noella [last name]
Kamaria May [last name]
Elliot Ness [last name]
In order: An earthquake fault, a cheesy snack chip, a giant snake, a fried octopus appetizer and an untouchable are not things to name your child after.

How about Shellsea?…It’s like Chelsea but softer . A nice middle name with it would be Summer.
Shellsea Summer
Oh, I love that Cat Stevens song!
And now, the Random Letter Family. When we last left the Random Letters, they were trying to name their twin girls, probably produced through Evil Science Somehow Involving Oprah. Jayln Marie
Ammie Lynne
Kesleigh Abigail
Cydnee Elizabeth
McKayla Mercy

Yes. Please. Mercy. Brinley Grace
Rebekah Lynne
Ashlee Hope
Makenna Faith

For a girlTierrainney Mackanzie [last name]
for a boy Tristin Gabrielle Reese [last name]
Oh yeah. Every boy wants Gabrielle as a middle name.. And that girl’s name could use a few more syllables. Hell, if you’re going to give your kid a cool super-villain name like Tyranny, spell it right!

I named my daughter Madyson Caiteand I regret doing that because every little girl in the last 3 or 4 years has been named Madison. Everyone complements it, but I still hate it. I would rather call her Caite (Kate) but am not sure. Please, everyone, pick something normal for your child. If you choose something different and unique, please don’t keep following the trends of Madisons, and Mackenzies, and Taylors, and Destinys. This is getting old.
Oh, you think it’s getting old? I’m sure little Madyson isn’t going to find it old…nooooo. Hindsight’s a bitch, ain’t it?
….and finally: DAKOTA BEAR for a boy.
Only if your last name’s Rabinowitz.

Okay folks, let me hear some good ones!
